About
Us
Norman
Woehrle, artist and designer, studied painting at
the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany.
He
received an award for excellence from the New Jersey Society
of Architects for an extensive mural project in the School for
Handicapped and Emotionally Disturbed Children in Salem County.
Nola
Woehrle, weaver and textile artisan, studied tapestry
weaving with Ebba Fahrig in Munich.
Nola
also has superb sewing skills and has fabricated numerous beautiful
appliqued liturgical hangings.
As
a couple they comprise Windhover Art and Design Studio and have
been doing good work for Catholic churches, chapels, schools,
and parish centers for over twenty years.
The studio has collaborated with architects, designers,
parishes, and religious orders in creating painting, murals, tapestry
and applique wall hangings, and etched glass panels.

Nola,

Norman
has supplied designs for stained glass, liturgical furnishings
and appointments that were fabricated by skilled craftspeople
in glass, metal, wood and stone.
Work
emanating from Windhover Studio can be found in dioceses in New
Jersey, New York, Minnesota, and Florida.
